NAILSEA-OnLINE visits The Matthew of Bristol

John Cabot's ship 'Matthew' - constructed 1997

A replica of the original that sailed to America in 1497

NAILSEA-OnLINE are proud to have been invited aboard The Matthew to take these amazing pictures and, we extend our thanks to the volunteers (especially Patrick Feakins), Captain Nigel Ottley and The Matthew and SS Great Britain Trusts for allowing us aboard areas of the ship usually closed to the general public.

The Matthew, the SS Great Britain and the Maritime Heritage Centre can be found at Gas Ferry Road off Cumberland Road in Bristol.
